Kellogg Independent Holiness Church of God was established
more than 85 years ago to provide a place for people to worship and serve God.
In a day and time where life is too fast-paced, burdens are far too heavy and stresses
can seem overwhelming, Kellogg is a refuge from the world. Kellogg remains a church where
people still sing the old hymns and where the Word of God is preached from the Bible.
First and foremost for Kellogg is the salvation of souls through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
At Kellogg, minding the Holy Spirit of the Lord takes precedent over schedules and programs.
Although our building's exterior is stone, the true rock is found within the Lord Jesus Christ.
So come worship with us.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe in one true and living God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Godhead or Trinity is equal in essence, power and glory. (Gen. 1:26; Mt. 3:16; Mt. 28:19; 1 Pet. 1:2; Tit. 3:4-6).

We believe that Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary being conceived by the Holy Spirit. (Isa. 7:14; Mt. 1:23).

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to earth and dwelt with man in order to reveal the Father’s love for mankind, to fulfill the Law and to complete the plan of salvation. (Jn. 1:1-14; Rom. 8:3-4; Jn 3:16).

We believe that by the offense of one, judgment came upon all men to condemnation. Even so, by the righteousness of one, the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life by which the grace of God became equally accessible to all men. (Rom. 5:18).

We believe that sinners are justified by the grace of God received by repentance toward God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Eph. 2: 8-9; Rom 5:2-8, 2 Cor. 7:10).

We believe in the doctrine of salvation for sinners through the blood of Jesus Christ for a cleansing of all sins. (Eph. 1:7, Col. 1:14; Rom. 5:9).

We believe that a Born-Again Believer receives the Holy Spirit at the moment they are saved. (Jn. 3:5-6; Rom. 8:9; 1 Cor. 3:16; 1 Jn 4:2, 13).

We believe that Jesus Christ died for the sins of the whole world. We believe that He was buried and on the third day that He was gloriously resurrected, afterwards being seen with many infallible proofs. In order to be saved, one must believe that God raised Jesus up from the dead. (Rom. 10:9; 1 Cor. 15:12-26).

We believe that only those who have received remission of sins through the blood of Jesus Christ are fit subjects of baptism. We practice total immersion in water in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost. (Mt. 28:19; Acts 8:38).

We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired word of God which were written by men of old as the Holy Spirit gave them direction. We believe that Christ fulfilled the Old Testament Covenant of Law and therefore, the New Testament Covenant of Grace is our rule of faith and practice. Nonetheless, the Old Testament still contains principles, truths, examples, and guidelines which can help strengthen the faith of all Believers and should not be ignored as irrelevant. (2 Tim. 3:16).

We believe that the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth and that all men are responsible for the manner in which they hear it. We have been commissioned by Christ Jesus to preach his Gospel to every creature. (Mt. 28:19).

We believe that there is but one true church and that every member thereof is an heir of God and joint heir with Christ if so be that we suffer with Him that we may be also glorified together. (Rom. 8:17).

We believe that the Church of God is composed only by those who are partakers of the Holy Ghost. (Gal. 4:6; Rom. 8:16).

We believe in the support of the ministry set forth in the Scriptures. (1 Cor. 16:1-2; Acts 11:29-30; Rom. 15:28; 2 Cor. 9:6-11).

We believe that the Lord’s Supper and the washing of one another’s feet should be practiced by the Saints of God until Jesus comes. (1 Cor.11:24-25; Jn.13:4-14).

We believe in Divine healing for the body as set forth in the fifth chapter of James.

We believe in sanctification as taught in St. John 17th Chapter; Rom. 12:1; 1 Thess. 5th Chapter; 2 Tim. 2:21 to all believers in Christ as a preparation for consecration for sacred service. It is the result of complete consecration and it is an instantaneous experience received after regeneration. Sanctification is an increase of power, makes the Christian more able to stand against the wiles of Satan, better qualified for the service of the Lord, and brings increased joy to the Christian’s heart.

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost, but we do not believe that it has to be witnessed by the speaking in an unknown tongue. (Mt. 3:11; Jn. 1:33; 1 Cor. Ch. 12).

We believe that we have an Advocate with the Father through Jesus Christ the righteous. Jesus is the propitiation for our sins and not for ours only, but for the sins of the whole world. (1 Jn. 2:1-2).

We believe in the resurrection of the dead, of the just and the unjust. We believe that the happiness of the righteous and the punishment of the wicked will be eternal. (Jn. 5:29. Acts. 24:15; 1 Cor. 15:22).
